I was born and raised in Pensacola, graduated from Pensacola Catholic High School, and then went on to study economics at Florida State University. While in college, I began to feel a strong call to the priesthood, which eventually led me to enter seminary in South Florida where I spent seven years in study and preparation.
My first assignment as a priest was at St. Dominic Parish in Panama City. A place that taught me a great deal about ministry quickly: we were hit by Category 5 Hurricane Michael, which destroyed all of our parish buildings. I lost my car and many personal belongings, and for two years, we celebrated Mass in a tent while rebuilding. It was a challenging yet deeply meaningful time. I pray we are spared such storms here, but I trust that no matter what we face, God is with us, and in the end, all will be well.
Outside of ministry, I enjoy fishing, reading, watching sci-fi shows, and most recently dog training. I have a German Shorthaired Pointer puppy who is already showing signs of being a great hunting dog.
As your Pastor, I will do my best to listen, to lead, and to walk with you in faith. I’m looking forward to becoming part of this community and getting to know each of you.
