ALFRED-WASHBURN CENTER NEEDS
The Alfred Washburn Center’s clothing locker is critically short on the following:
men’s jeans, pants & shorts to fit sizes 32/34/36; men’s underwear (boxer, boxer‐briefs but NOT briefs) sizes Sm/Med/Lg; men’s collared shirts Sm/ Med/Lg; and women’s underwear (all sizes). Flashlights, AA & AAA batteries, deodorant, and small hairbrushes are popular but out‐of‐stock item
Rolling suitcases are always needed as well, the homeless use them for their possessions.Volunteers are also needed - please contact Pat Mitchell at (205) 222-6856 if you are able to help in any way.

They are in need of the following items: Washcloths · Hand Towels · Men’s and Women’s socks (new only) · Men’s underwear (new only) · Men’s jeans smaller sizes · Women’s underwear (new only) · Backpacks · Tents · Sleeping bags · Bikes and bike locks · TarpsThe Alfred-Washburn Center is a ministry of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul serving the homeless and poorer members of our community. The Center is funded by the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Stores and Conferences, as well as private and corporate donations. We are a 100% volunteer organization.
